Criticism to secondary citizenship laws of telecommunications reform have flooded internet, turning the issue into one of the most talked about social networks worldwide through tweets, memes, posts and, of course, videos.

Various aspects of the initiative regulatory laws, sent on March 24 to the Senate by President Enrique Peña Nieto, are rejected by citizens, civil organizations and specialists, such as those involving risk of Internet censorship.

The president's proposal included the possibility to block access to certain content, registration of personal data, the temporary cancellation of telecommunications and geolocation at the request of the authorities. On Wednesday, Secretary of Communications and Transport, Gerardo Ruiz Esparza said the federal government will seek the amendments are "absolute respect" the right to information and freedom of expression.
